This novel tells about arul the adventures and Amar Bawean Island. Not without reason they came to the island. Stay away from Gresik, East Java, Arul who've been to Bawean, Amar invited his friend, in order to find bulbs Scrathopi. Bulbs are believed to treat cancer that can be sold at high prices. Amar a prospective employer, intends to pioneer the cultivation of bulbs, which is said to be found on the island of Bawean.
And the two young men came Bawean Island. We will be entertained by the ridiculousness of both in their interactions with residents Bawean. Amar highly educated, often ridiculed itself-silliness when interacting with residents Bawean low level of education. Poverty, because it only relies job as a fisherman, make not many of them can be high school.
If Amar busy pioneering business, Arul busy with kids around Bawean Island landfill. The children were taught by a man named Hirzi ustazah. Arul originally thought Hirzi sex man, apparently Hirzi a woman. Hirzi same teaching style teaching style of old masters, using cane to scare and threaten many sentences. Thus, instead of the smart kids have even more clueless and slow to receive instruction. Arul shows how to teach a more friendly and acceptable to children.
At first glance, we will be reminded of Laskar Pelangi, while reading this novel. Perhaps, some of the content of the novel was inspired by Laskar Pelangi. Besides being entertained by the silliness Amar, we also caressed feel of romance between Arul and Hirzi. The novel is thick enough, 416 pages, will not be read because it was brought humor and romance characters.
Unfortunately, there are few flaws in it. Amar business purposes bulbs, somewhat less discussed. Discussed only briefly. Contains more silliness and feel the romance Arul and Hirzi.
